Hopefully your student made it home this week with a note that looked like this!

Dear Parents,

Just a reminder that our recital is next week! Thursday, May 22 at 6:30 p.m. in the building where I attend church. The address is 6751 Northeast 70th Street – right next to the Mormon Temple off the 435. We are getting pretty excited around these parts. There will be a rehearsal next Wednesday, May 21 on the stage they are performing on – please come in through the back doors of the church so that you don’t have to wander around. J All dance classes will be rehearsing from 5-6:15. Musical Theater will be from 6:15-7. Remember that dress for the performance are either their dance clothes, or dark pants and a brightly colored shirt. Hair and make-up is whatever makes my little friends feel best about themselves! I am happy to answer any questions! Thanks!

Marie.

RECITAL

Classes start again tomorrow! I am so excited to see my young friends again -- I have missed them! Remember that is the first class of the new month and tuition is due. So excited to say we have a date for our little recital! It will be Thursday, May 22 at 6:30 -- on the stage in the building where I attend church -- I will have the address for you as it comes closer. I am so excited for you to se...e your kids have fun performing for you!
Here is a reminder of my recital policy, as outlined at the beginning of the year:
"There will be a fun recital at the end of the year. This will be our opportunity to show our families what we have accomplished!
...I wanted lessons to be affordable. I feel like lessons can be so expensive that it prevents many kids who would love to have the chance to take them from having that opportunity. So, that meant cutting expenses, hoping to bless both our family and yours. It also asks you as the parents to understand that there will be no rainbows and butterflies when it is time for recitals -- no sparkling costumes, no brilliant lights, no fancy venue -- just kids who have had a wonderful time and are happy to show their loved ones all they had learned."
So, that means no big preparations for you. Trying to get a time cleared in the building for a little rehearsal there, but as for costumes -- if they have dance clothes, that would be great. If not, or for Musical Theater, dark pants and a bright shirt. Make their hair or makeup as fancy or simple as they would like it to be -- this is really about them feeling so good about themselves; however they feel best! The recital will be casual... I am just a low stress person, but most importantly, want it to be NO stress and ALL excitement for them! I am always available to answer questions. Feel free to email or text me anytime! Thanks!
